"Sometimes the unusual in our normal environment stirs the creative juices. In these pictures, Paul and I are enjoying a totally unexpected spring snow here in Tyler, Texas. 

"Now, this may not seem like a big deal to many of you, but the normal temperature for East Texas this time of year is around 80! This is our only snow of the season. 

"In the twenty years I've lived here, I've never seen a hummingbird in the snow nor snow falling on a lush green background. This is one for the record books."
